Cladodes (also known as paddles) are fleshy stems from which flowers and fruits grow, depending on the season.
Paddles have enormous potential in human nutrition (young cladodes, 30 to 60 days old, can be used for human consumption, fresh or cooked).
Due to their high water content, paddles are widely used in animal feed, especially in regions with long dry spells.
Consuming cladodes has numerous benefits for human health, and for many years a syrup was produced in Portugal from the gel that oozes from the paddles to combat whooping cough.
Deliveries and Returns
Deliveries within mainland Portugal usually take between 2 and 5 business days. Returns are accepted under legal terms for items showing no signs of use and in their original packaging.
