Clean & Safe Pepe Aromas Seal

We are living through a unique situation and uncertain times, and therefore our priority is the health and safety of our customers, employees, and partners.
In this regard, we remain committed to high standards of hygiene and cleanliness which, although already part of our daily routines, have now been reinforced in accordance with the guidelines of the World Health Organization, Turismo de Portugal, and local health authorities.
The Clean & Safe Pepe Aromas certification holds us accountable and commits us to the safety, health, and well-being of our own and of those who visit us!

Clean and attentive team
All members of our field, factory, and tourism teams have received active training on Covid-19 and on new rules for hygiene, social conduct, respiratory etiquette, and the use and handling of disinfectants.
We provide personal protective equipment, and all employees wear masks and/or visors, disinfect their hands before putting on disposable gloves, use shoe covers to enter the factory or tourism and leisure spaces, and have sanitizers available in all common areas in accordance with the implemented contingency plan.
We perform daily temperature checks on all our employees and monitor the general health status of workers.
A place has been established to isolate people who may be detected as suspected or confirmed cases of COVID-19, and the necessary resources have been provided for this isolation area, and procedures to be followed in each case have been defined. A staff member is always on duty responsible for triggering procedures in case of suspected infection (accompanying the person with symptoms to the isolation area, providing necessary assistance, and contacting the national health service).

Safe Spaces and Facilities
All circulation areas are regularly ventilated and have signage reminding of the recommended safe distance and the advised and mandatory hygiene procedures for staying in the spaces; the public service area has an acrylic protection panel; we frequently sanitize social areas, restrooms, and frequently touched surfaces such as doorknobs, flush handles, sink taps, telephones, keyboards, handrails, switches, countertops.
Hand sanitizing stations or dispensers are strategically placed in all worker and customer circulation areas.

Social Distancing
All spaces comply with the occupancy limits determined by law. Social distancing will be practiced in all common areas and during train, walking, or bicycle tours.

Safe activities and leisure
We prioritize outdoor activities and disinfect all equipment regularly. We use disposable and recyclable towels and materials whenever possible.
Leisure and tourism activities always operate by appointment, with very small groups, to ensure that previously established occupancy limits are met and that spaces are cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected between each group.
We ensure social distance and disinfect our support and transport equipment between each visit. In some areas, we have periodically disinfected mats so that shoe soles can be sanitized before entering the space.

Station Shop
Our station shop has been reorganized to face the new challenges. The number of customers in the shop has been limited, and entrance doors and surfaces are disinfected regularly.
Advance ordering services by email and home deliveries are available to limit visits to the shop. Gloves, hand sanitizer gel, and masks for adults and children are available free of charge.
We prioritize payments by bank transfer or MB WAY to limit the use of cash payments.
