The benefits of honey have been known since time immemorial and our hives are located in amongst our prickly pear cactuses so that the bees pollinate the flowers.
Honey is a superfood known for its therapeutic properties: memory-enhancing, an antibacterial agent, combating insomnia, reducing allergies and respiratory problems, relieving inflammation in the vocal cords and throat, an antioxidant, preventing premature ageing, and helping to maintain intestinal micro-organisms.
Our honey, produced from prickly pear cactus-flower nectar, is a wholly pure product. As well a great natural sweetener, it is ideal as an ingredient for salad dressings and desserts, an accompaniment for strong cheeses, crepes, ice cream, yogurts and different types of roast meat, and in a range of drinks.

Description

A viscous, aromatic, sugary substance, honey is obtained from the nectar of flowers and/or the honeycombs that honey-bees produce.
It is rich in substances which are beneficial for maintaining the harmony of the body, such as vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids, and has recognized health benefits in strengthening the immune system and as an antitussive, antiseptic, antiinflammatory and antioxidant agent thanks to its high content of polyphenols, which the flower of the prickly pear produces and enhances.
